Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is getting ready to launch a load of Android-based devices, including the already leaked Motorola DROID Pro, along with a newly spotted LG enV Touch 2, not to mention the wide range of other devices leaked

into the wild a few days ago.

Verizon's Android lineup already proved very successful, and it makes sense that new DROIDs are on their way to the market, one should agree.

When it comes to the Motorola DROID Pro, some of the previous rumors on it suggested that we're to see it launched as the World Edition of DROID 2 by Motorola, which landed on the carrier's airwaves only recently.

According to a recent article on Engadget, the DROID Pro would indeed be the successor of DROID 2, as the two devices are almost identical.

However, it seems that Verizon's internal systems show the DROID 2 and DROID Pro as sporting model numbers A956 and A957, respectively, suggesting that they would actually be two different handsets, and not two flavors of the same phone.

With a great deal of rumors pointing towards the tight connection between the two, it remains to be seen is when Verizon would be announcing the DROID Pro, and what would the device be released as.

As for the second Android-based device rumored today as being headed for Verizon, it would be the enV Touch 2 from LG, a clamshell smartphone with dual touchscreens (one on the inside, and the other on the outside).

Also packed with a full QWERTY keyboard, the mobile phone should arrive at Big Red with Android 2.1 on board, though it seems that there are no details available on whether it would taste Android 2.2 or not.

This enV-branded device should be a rather heavy device, which might not appeal too much to users, though there is no solid proof that Verizon would actually launched it into the wild.
