DROID Incredible Officially on Pre-Order Come April 19

Verizon Wireless has finally announced the launch of DROID Incredible by HTC on its airwaves. The wireless carrier is set to make the new Android 2.1-based mobile phone available for pre-order come April 19, while the actual launch is set for April 29. Moreover, those interested in the new device can register for updates on the matter via Verizon's website here. According to the company, the new DROID Incredible by HTC has been built to enable users easily stay connected, while enjoying the craftsmanship and precision in its design.

“DROID Incredible by HTC features the newest version of the HTC Sense experience, a seven-panel home screen with a wide selection of interactive widgets so the most important content is immediately available at a touch. Customers will enjoy seamless integration with Exchange ActiveSync, quick and easy access to Flickr for sharing and viewing pictures, video, and Android Market with more than 30,000 Google applications. DROID Incredible by HTC is the first Verizon Wireless phone that takes advantage of Qualcomm’s 1GHz superfast Snapdragon processor, and it’s the first available phone from Verizon Wireless to include an 8 megapixel camera,” the carrier notes.

Two of the latest exclusive apps from Verizon Wireless will be available on DROID Incredible when it hits the market, namely NFL Mobile and Skype mobile, but this is only one point on the handset's specs list. The Android 2.1 with HTC Sense experience is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the 3.7-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display boasts a WVGA (480 x 800 pixel) resolution, the phone's optical joystick provides smooth navigation, while connectivity is enabled via Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g), 3.5 mm headset jack, or integrated GPS receiver.

As stated above, DROID Incredible by HTC is set to become available for pre-order on April 19 via Verizon Wireless' website, and should arrive in all Verizon Wireless Communications Stores on April 29. The new Android phone will sport a price tag of $199.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the carrier and after a $100 mail-in rebate.
