DROID Incredible, another high-end smartphone powered by Google's Android operating system, is now available for purchase on Verizon Wireless' network. The carrier had it available for pre-order since last week, priced at $199.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement and after a $100.00 mail-in rebate. The full retail price of DROID Incredible has been set at $529.99.

The interesting part of the story is that Verizon Wireless customers willing to purchase the device via the carrier's website will have their units in hands by May 4, mainly due to high demand the phone enjoys. This is the fourth mobile phone from HTC that registers such high traction on the market within the past month or so. HTC Desire and HD2 were both reported to have been delayed due to similar situations, and Nexus One sold out at Vodafone UK too, a couple of days ago. The DROID Incredible is indeed a device capable of luring users on its side. It boasts a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen display that delivers a 480 x 800 pixel (WVGA) resolution, an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with auto focus and video recording capabilities, 3.5mm Audio Jack, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, and 8GB of internal memory, coupled with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 16GB of additional storage space.

The phone is powered by a Qualcomm QSD8650 1Ghz processor, complemented by 512MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM, sports dual-band CDMA2000 1xRTT/1xEVDO/1xEVDO Rev A (800/1900 MHz) connectivity, and packs a battery that can offer up to 312 minutes of usage time, or up to 146 hours of standby time. Measuring 4.63 x 2.3 x 0.47 inches and weighing in at 4.59 ounces, the handset runs under the Android 2.1 OS, on top of which HTC loaded its next generation Sense UI.

A great deal of other features and functionalities are also available with the device, which can be seen on Verizon's website here.
