Verizon has just confirmed that the HTC DROID Incredible 2 will be exclusively available beginning April 28th in carrier's stores and online for $199.99 with a new two-year customer agreement.

Potential customers who wish to purchase the HTC DROID Incredible 2 will need to subscribe to a Verizon Nationwide Talk plan and a smartphone data package.

According to the carrier, Nationwide Talk plans begin at $39.99 for monthly access and an unlimited smartphone data plan is $29.99 for monthly access.

As we reported earlier today, the smartphone was spotted in Best Buy's buyer's guide appearing on the company's website.

Unveiled back in February during the 2011 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the DROID Incredible 2 follows in the footsteps of the popular DROID Incredible.

Unfortunately, the device does not come with the latest Gingerbread flavor of Google's mobile platform, instead it runs Android 2.2 Froyo.

However, this is an improvement in comparison with the original Incredible that comes with Android 2.1 Eclair out-of-the-box.

Furthermore, the Incredible 2 comes with a large 4-inch superLCD touchscreen, unlike the original Incredible that features a slightly smaller 3.7-inch display.

It seems that both devices are powered by similar 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, though there's no mention of the model.

Equipped with HTC Sense and 3G Mobile Hotspot that can connect up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices, DROID Incredible 2 offers users advanced personalization options.

DROID Incredible 2 boasts an 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, dual LED flash, automatic face detection, as well as camcorder capable of capturing 720p HD videos. In addition, the phone comes with a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video-calls.

Other interesting highlights of the device include Adobe Flash Player support, SRS WOWHD surround sound, integrated noise-cancellation technology, as well as DLNA feature to share multimedia content with a compatible TV.
