Mobile phone maker Motorola Mobility and Verizon Wireless are reportedly gearing up for the release of a new software update for the DROID Bionic handset.

The new update emerged as version 5.9.902 and brings along a small set of enhancements when compared to the 5.9.901 update that landed on the DROID Bionic about a month ago.

There is no official changelog available for the new update, nor a specific availability date. However, the guys over at DROID Life have managed to put together some details on the software and the enhancements it brings along.

When available on devices, the new software update will remove the preloaded VCast Music app, but will add an Amazon MP3 app.

The software also enables data collection/location details in Motorola Terms and Conditions, features a security patch for changing Home panel icons. The OS version on DROID Bionic remains unchanged.
