Verizon Wireless is preparing to roll out a software update to the DROID 2 Global, according to a leaked internal document. This is in fact a maintenance update, which fixes a few bug and adds several improvements to the smartphone.

Verizon customers should not expect an upgrade to Android 2.3 Gingerbread for their DROID 2 Global smartphones any time soon.

According to the official changelog leaked on Droid-life and dated December 7th, the update is tagged as version 2.4.330 and is only 15.6 MB in size.
