The development team at Valve working on DOTA 2 is launching a new update for the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena title, which is designed to eliminate problems that the community has flagged and improve the overall experience.

The core gameplay changes introduced are, according to the official announcement:

- Fixed Terrorblade illusions taking too much damage - Fixed Phoenix Sunray healing half of the amount it should - Fixed AoE gold not being given to hidden heroes (such as Phoenix using Supernova, Brewmaster using Primal Split) - Fixed Radiant having vision for a small area just outside the Dire fountain

At the same time Valve says all punishments for those who abandon matches will be faster, applied as soon as the player quits rather than when the game is over.

There are also changes for the user interface, the Steam workshop and the tooltips that DOTA 2 uses.
