It seems that the latest trend for American Hip hop artists is to get arrested on British airports. Hethrow, if possible.
Just days after Snoop Dogg got arrested for starting a riot near the VIP lounge of the airport, DMX was arrested at the same London airport on Sunday, May 14, for verbally abusing the cabin crew on a flight to England.
The police said that the rapper-turned-actor was not willing to buckle his seatbelt as the plane made its final approach and that he spoke in a very rude way to the cabin crew after the plane landed.
A Scotland Yard spokesperson said, "Heathrow Police were called at 12.05 pm on Saturday to reports of a passenger causing a disturbance on an inbound aircraft. The plane landed at approximately 12.15 pm and a 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being verbally abusive to cabin crew. DMX was taken to the police station and later released with a caution."
According to celebritywonder.com the rap star DMX has a well-known history of law offences: "he was arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspended license, after he crashed into a police car in New York on April 15, 2005.
He was arrested for allegedly driving more than 100 mph on a highway in the suburbs of New York City, a week after he pleaded guilty to driving through an airport parking gate while on drugs (December 2004).
DMX has been arrested on charges that he and another man tried to steal a car at JFK Airport in New York (June 2004).
Authorities arrested DMX on Saturday morning for using profanity during a one-hour concert in St. Kitts and Nevis (June 2003).
He was arrested on Christmas Eve in Harrison, New York, when police officers observed the rapper allegedly making an unsafe lane change in his black Chevrolet Suburban on the Hutchinson River Parkway -- after police officers pulled the rapper over at 2:30 p.m. ET, he provided the officers with incorrect information when he was asked for his license and registration (December 2002)."
