Mashup artist DJ Earworm, real name Jordan Roseman, has delivered yet another catchy remix, this time capturing the essence of what the year 2009 was in music. “United State of Pop 2009 (Blame It on the Pop)” is the third remix of the kind in as many years, summing up the 25 hits that have made history in US charts this year.

The mashup also comes with an official video made, of course, of bits and pieces edited from the original clips. “Another year, another year-end mashup, once again consisting of the top 25 most popular hit songs of 2009, according to Billboard Magazine. This is a follow-up to last year’s ‘United State of Pop 2008 (Viva La Pop)’ and the original ‘United State of Pop from 2007’,” DJ Earworm says on the official website.

“This year in the charts, so many of the pop songs this year seem to tell the same story: Yeah, we’ve been through a lot, but right now we’re gonna celebrate with music and dance, and it’s gonna be ok. With that spirit in mind, I invite you to… BLAME IT ON THE POP,” the DJ goes on to say. The result is a very upbeat remix that brings out the best of the year that is about to end, while featuring the most prominent names.

Included in the remix are, as you will also see by giving it a shot with the video below: the Black Eyed Peas with “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling,” Lady Gaga with “Poker Face,” Taylor Swift with “Love Story” and “You Belong with Me,” Kanye West with “Heartless,” Kings of Leon with “Use Somebody,” and Pitbull with “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho).” Beyonce is also featured with “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” and “Halo,” two of the hottest chart toppers this year.

Rapper Flo Rida, Jamie Foxx and T-Pain, T.I and Justin Timberlake, Ne-Yo, Katy Perry and Jason Mraz are also included in the mashup. Check it out below and, as usual, enjoy.
