All the parts of the camera are on sprues similar to old model kits

Every enthusiast photographer has dreamed at some point to build his own camera, and using current 3D printing technology, one can easily create a fully functional pinhole camera or even a film camera.

But what if we told you that you could now build your own interchangeable-lens camera using a model kit containing all the parts it needs to work properly as well as giving you the freedom to customize its looks as you like.

Japanese company PowerShovel Ltd introduces “Last Camera,” a small DIY film camera that you have to build using lots of tiny pieces that come with the model kit.

Why is Last Camera so special, you might ask. Well, besides the joy it can offer while building it from scratch, every tiny part of the camera is placed on sprues similar to old model kits.

The Last Camera comes equipped with a view finder, shutter button, bulb lever, accessory shoe, rewinding crank and even an adjustable sliding door on the rear designed to help you add light leaks in a creative way to any of your photos.

If by now, all of this sounds great, the best part is yet to come. The small Last Camera also has two interchangeable lenses that comes with the package, a 25mm wide-angle and a 45mm standard prime lens, respectively.

If you want to customize your camera's design or repair it, you can always buy spare parts separately. In addition to that, the camera is available in the US for as little as $60 / €44, while if you are living in Japan or planning a trip there, you could purchase it for ¥3,900 / $40 / €29.
