DIRECTV for iPhone 2.5.1 has been released with a bunch of fixes that address issues in the streaming department, as well as in other areas of the app.

Following a major new release for iOS customers, DIRECTV Inc. has been forced to release yet another update to address some bugs.

Customers experiencing issues with video streaming are particularly encouraged to download and install DIRECTV 2.5.1 for iPhone and iPod touch. The update also fixes an issue with missing receivers, and updates an error text for failed DVR record requests.

For those who haven’t updated their DIRECTV iPhone app in a while, you can now search and discover shows by using your voice: “Just talk as you would to a person and the app finds what you’re looking for,” reads the changelog.
