For most of the fans of Star Wars, the announcement of the new Battlefront was an occasion to celebrate the impact of the shooter series and the potential of the new title, but there are some who are not satisfied with certain elements of the newly revealed experience.

Jesper Nielsen is a producer on the title that has taken the courageous step of talking on Reddit with fans about the core mechanics and the elements that they find to be poorly developed.

Some gamers have complained about the AT-AT walkers in the Endor scenario, which will not be directly controlled by the players involved in the battle and will move around following predictable patterns.

The game creator states, "All I can reference right now is the showcased gameplay clip with AT-AT’s on Endor that are on-rails. – Once you try it out and see gameplay, you will understand why it’s important they’re on-rails. They’re the objective, and they need to be going in certain directions."

Nielsen adds that DICE understands how important vehicles have always been to the franchise and plans to make sure that those who want to use them will have some interesting choices and mechanics to deal with.

Star Wars Battlefront will have a limited connection with The Force Awakens

The arrival of a new Star Wars video game is linked to the fact that a movie trilogy is being launched before the end of 2015.

But DICE and Electronic Arts are saying that Star Wars Battlefront will focus on the original three movies in the franchise and their most important moments.

Endor and Hoth have already been shown, and there are another two planets that gamers will visit, with each of them represented by a handful of maps with unique features and modes.

The upcoming The Force Awakens will be represented via downloadable content called The Battle of Jakku, which will arrive for all those who buy the video game for free on December 8.

In order to get the same amount of gameplay one week earlier, gamers will have to pre-order Star Wars Battlefront, which also brings a few other bonuses.

The game will be launched on November 17 on the PC, the Xbox One, and the PlayStation 4.
