The development team at DICE says that it has no plans to introduce bot support to its upcoming Battlefield 4 first-person shooter and has offered a clear explanation for the decision.

Lars Gustavsson, the creative director at DICE, tells IGN that, “We have our single player experience, we have our multiplayer experience and we’ve been focusing on delivering those.”

The studio does not have the manpower to make sure that the 64-player and 2 Commander battles are perfect, while also allowing players to battle computer-controlled opponents that behave in a realistic way.

The new Battlefield video game is designed to offer the same experience on all its platforms and the team at DICE has already announced that it will continue to deliver content for the game via five already planned expansions.

The game will be out on October 29 in North America and on November 1 in Europe.
