We’ve already reported on Dell’s new U2713HM monitor here and it seems that the suppositions that it would be quite affordable turned out to be true. Dell Japan has now officially announced the new 27” WQHD monitor.

Dell’s new quality 27” display comes with the famous AH-IPS technology that was also used in LG’s impressive 5” FullHD mobile display.

The AH-IPS acronym comes from Advanced High Performance IPS, and this one sports 178-degree viewing angles and a nice 2560 by 1440 pixel WQHD resolution.

WQHD is short for “Wide Quad High Definition” and it’s a standard discussed by the ATSC back in the 90s.

This standard is becoming more and more popular in the PC industry.

We’re glad that high-resolution monitors are being launched more often and we’re even happier that Dell has apparently decided to make the new U2713HM monitor quite “affordable,” considering its features and specifications.

The monitor is currently priced at $637 in the Land of the Rising Sun, and the price in the European market should be around €510 or lower, as prices in Japan are usually significantly higher at launch and higher in general.

Among the interesting features the new Dell U2713HM high-quality AH-IPS 27” monitor is packing, we can find a four-port USB 3.0 HUB and we know that adds at least a $50 worth of value for the U2713HM.

The company is touting a 37% power consumption reduction when compared with the previous U2711 model, but if you really want to find out more details about the new Dell U2713HM high-quality AH-IPS 27” monitor, check out our article from yesterday here.
