The development team at Sony Online Entertainment working on DC Universe Online announces that it is preparing update 31 for the superhero-powered MMO, which is designed to increase performance, while also making the title ready for launch on the PlayStation 4.

In an official blog post, Larry Liberty, the executive producer, tells the fan base that the game will receive a “sweeping, game-wide graphical upgrade, a massive design effort to polish and remaster the core leveling game, and a host of technical work.”

A lot of the details of the game world have been improved and well-known areas like Centennial Park in Metropolis and Robinson Park in Gotham City are re-created in order to better match the comic book originals.

The core leveling system for DC Universe Online is also modified in order to allow gamers more options before they reach level 30.

A full list of all the changes is available on the official site.

DC Universe Online should be out on the PlayStation 4 soon after the console launches in November.
