Sony Online Entertainment has announced that it has launched the fifth content update for its MMO DC Universe Online, called The Fate of the Fortress, allowing players to get their heroes next to characters like Superman, Lex Luthor and other superheroes as they deal with the threat posed by Brainiac.
This is the first time that DC Universe Online has entered the Fortress of Solitude and gamers will need to mine every resource for their characters in order to be able to defeat the cybernetic soldiers that the Sunstone has allowed Brainiac to create.
The raid in the Fortress is designed for eight players and will end with a battle against the Avatar of Meta, taking place in the Power Core room.
Gamers will also get new gear and new loot to use, including 30 new weapons for all classes.
DC Universe Online is free to play at the moment with subscribers getting access to some exclusive content.
