Believe it or not, it exists! If I were to compare this device with another of its kind, I wouldn't know where to start from.

As you probably know, Pure Digital is famous worldwide for its high-quality DABs. Therefore, this one shouldn't come as a surprise. The Pure Chronos iPod dock looks great, featuring an accurate all-in-one design.

But the really amazing thing is the fact that the manufacturers succeeded in creating a weird mixture between an award-winning digital radio and the popular iPod docking, in order to provide the best combination of its kind.

There is great functionality that includes multiple alarms, sleep and snooze timers, an integrated remote control, as well as an automatic brightness control. Just as manufacturers say, the device is great for enjoying the music, recharging your iPod, but also catching up on the latest news in music, sports, or else. There is also a sleep timer that allows the user to find the favorite station and a snooze button.

There are no less than four independent alarms, with wake to iPod, tone, DAB or FM, as well as the possibility to browse and play tracks stored on your iPod via the remote control. Not to mention the RDS support for station name display on FM and RDS scrolling text. The device is also said to use materials from recycled and sustainable sources, using a strict selection of components with minimized environmental impact.

Other technical details in its specification list are a light sensor that adjusts the display brightness to suit the ambient light in your room.

The iPod addicts can even connect an iPod shuffle or other device to the auxiliary input and play directly through the stereo speakers embedded in the system.

But, if you want to listen to the music in private, you can also use the built-in 3.5mm headphone socket. And if you're wondering about its price tag, then I should probably tell you 100 pounds sounds pretty reasonable to me! It'll be available starting the end of October.
