Hidetaka Suehiro, also known as Swery, says that he currently has no plans to brings its new Dark Dreams Don’t Die or D4 to any other platforms than the Xbox One home console from Microsoft.

The developer tells GamingBolt that, “Please understand that D4 is not a sequel to Deadly Premonition. This is not what you think about with Kinect. This game is something the core will be able to enjoy and see why Kinect is a great enhancement to gaming as a whole.”

The new title is designed to use the unique features of the Xbox One, with the player able to use voice commands to influence the game world and the motion tracking system to control the actions of the main character.

Swery says that he is aiming to infuse D4 with a lot of emotional content and he wants to create realistic feelings and sense among the player community.

He adds, “I feel that we are basically creating a kind of game that’s really the first of its kind. We’re aiming to create the sort of game that will truly become an “experience” in the players’ lives, and I really think you’ll like what we have in store.”

Dark Dreams Don’t Die will be made up of episodes that are 90 to 120 minutes long, with plenty of side quests and meta-game elements introduced in order to keep the player interested.

The basic plot of D4 will follow a mysterious private investigator as he tries to understand the circumstances of his wife’s death and its larger role in a number of events taking place around him.

Gamers will have to look for clues, create and then test theories before finding out the truth.

The narrative will also involve time travel, which the developers are saying will be the main way to generate emotion.

D4 is expected in 2014.
