D-Link has recently released a new firmware version for its DIR-605L wireless cloud router, numbered 2.02.B02. It didn't come with any release notes or hints on what has changed. All I have found out about it is that it addresses only to the revision B of the router series.

However, this new update might include various performance improvements, fixes, or enhancements, but in order to be sure about this aspect you must apply the new firmware and discover for yourself.

Therefore, if you intend to install this package, save and unzip the downloadable archive to an accessible location, enter your router’s administration page (username and password should be requested), and go to the Maintenance > Firmware Update section.

From there, hit the “Browse” button, navigate and select the newly-extracted .bin file, choose “Upload,” and wait patiently for the DIR-605L unit to do its job.

Bear in mind that, while installation is in progress, you mustn't close the web browser, turn off either devices, remove the Ethernet/power cable, or any other action that might interrupt the update. Doing so might cause serious malfunctions.

With this in mind, download D-Link DIR-605L (rev.B) Router Firmware 2.02.B02, carefully apply it on your system using the aforementioned steps, and enjoy your newly-improved wireless device. Also, check back with us as often as possible in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
