In order to remove people's dependency on a computer system specifically aimed at holding onto recordings of IP-connected cameras, D-Link has put together the mydlink Camera Video Recorder, part number DNR-202L.

What it does is pretty straightforward really: set up, record, and manage video captured from any mydlink Network Cloud Camera.

Two USB ports are available, allowing the recorder to store data on one HDD or two when the first is filled (up to 8 TB total, 2 x 4TB).

Recording and viewing feeds in real time is possible on four channels (you can use those four to record from four cameras at the same time).

You can also schedule recording and have the process begin based on alerts.

Sales should be underway for $99.99 / €99.99. A fair bit, but people who want surveillance systems usually have the cash to spare.
