D-Link's wireless connectivity hardware lineup is extensive, so the company decided to pay equal attention to software as it moves forward. This choice is reflected in the latest product release.

Some time ago, the company initiated the mydlink Cloud Services, through which it lets owners of its devices monitor their networks from a phone of tablet.

E-mail notifications are sent when troubling new network activity is detected, or when security updates are available.

The three devices now ready to gain such functionality are the ShareCenter 2-bay Cloud NAS, the Cloud Gigabit Router N300 and Cloud Gigabit Router N600.

ShareCenter 2-bay can house 3.5-inch hard drive units of up to 3 TB each. RAID 1, Standard, JBOD and RAID 0 modes are supported, along with DLNA.

The price is £89.99, or $139 / €113, give or take, according to current exchange rates.

Meanwhile, the new routers operate at 300 Mbps and 600 Mbps, respectively, have dual-band functionality, include some Gigabit Ethernet ports and possess one USB 3.0 connector each, for good measure.

They will cost £64.99 (~$100 / €82) and £84.99 (~$131 / €107), respectively.
