It's been a while now that supreme diva Whitney Houston hasn't stepped out in public looking like this! I mean, ever since her married life with Bobby Brown began to look like an episode taken from the lamest soap opera, the singer was repeatedly seen in and out of court (with him, of course), looking as if she had just escaped a mental institution. No disrespect meant here, but we all know that Whitney 'allegedly' had some issues with drugs: she checked into rehab twice, she openly talked about her love of marijuana and even said during her own reality show that 'crack is whack'. But things are about to go down a different path, now that she has finally rid herself of her biggest burden: Bobby. In recent years, Mrs. Houston saw her career take a deep plunge (although her talent and wonderful voice have always remained the same), as she slowly but surely became more of a tabloid character than an artist, a musician. Even if it's not justified (and totally uncalled for), her music was completely overlooked and... no longer bought. Instead, people focused more on the way she looked, on how she dressed and on how she acted on the few occasions that she still came out. And, trust me, she was not a pretty sight. Whitney marked the new stage in her life (drug-free and Bobby-free) with a special appearance at Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party on Sunday night. And special it was... Looking better than she had in years, positively radiant and exuding happiness from each pore of her body, the diva confirmed (without actually saying so) that she is preparing for a big comeback. Wearing a Roberto Cavalli gown, Whitney was all smiles for the press. Unfortunately, she refused to stop on the red carpet for poses so the eager photogs had to settle for the little that they got. But, what they lost in terms of quantity, they got in quality, as Whitney was deemed by many the true lady of the night. So, there you have it: Whitney Houston looking gorgeous. Only one word suits her best: DIVA. I guess now is the right time to start hoping for a new album soon, right?
