“The Young and the Restless,” one of the biggest and most popular soap operas of all times, is going through massive changes, some of them more welcome than others. CBS has just confirmed that Cynthia Watros is out of the series and will be replaced by Cady McClain.

Watros joined the cast in late 2013 as Kelly Andrews and, though she was received with open arms by the fans, she has decided to leave because of her involvement in the MTV series “Finding Carter,” The Wrap reports.

After news broke, Watros went online on Twitter to confirm it and to announce that her last episode on the series would air on March 14. Fans don’t really have that much time at their disposal to say their goodbyes / get used to the idea of the replacement.

McClain will be making her debut on the episode airing on March 24.

“I LOVED being on Y and R. A big hug to the cast and crew! You guys rock! My fans and my not fans. I love you,” she wrote. “I hope I didn't let you down. I love Kelly... James Blake, retrograde. I dedicate this to her.”

On January 15, fans had to say goodbye to yet another couple of beloved actors, Michael Muhney and Billy Miller. They’re still pretty upset about how the network handled Muhney’s departure.
