The scammers direct victims to legitimate blogs before taking them to survey sites

Facebook scams that lure users to survey sites or other malicious domains by promising them raunchy videos of celebrities are not uncommon. However, those who run the schemes seem to be constantly working on improving them.

Sabari Selvan of E Hacking News has come across Justin Bieber and Rihanna adult tape scams in which a clever technique is deployed to make sure the posts are not immediately flagged as being malicious.

Instead of containing links to malevolent websites, the Facebook posts contain links to legitimate Blogger blogs.

When victims click on the links, they’re first taken to the Blogger website, from where they’re redirected to the survey scam site.

As always, I advise Facebook customers to stay clear of posts advertising outrageous or raunchy videos. If you have already fallen for a scam, be sure to revoke all the malicious apps you may have installed and delete all the posts published on your behalf.
