Although the worldwide desktop PC market is hurting from low consumer demand, PC vendors continue to update their product offerings and roll out new system configurations. On that note, CyberPower, a custom PC vendor, has just announced the introduction of its new Viper PC, a Core i7-powered gaming monster specifically designed to pack some of the latest hardware components available on the market. According to its
builder, the new series follows in the footsteps of its revolutionary Fang lineup, enabling a high performance level and a considerable number of configuration options.

Spec-wise, the new system has been featured with a 2.66GHz Intel Core i7 920 processor, combined with AMD's fastest, single-GPU graphics card available on the market, the Radeon HD 4890. Based on the Nehalem-supporting X58 chipset, the system can support 6GB of DDR3 and a large-capacity 1TB hard drive. Additional components include the LG 20X DVD burner, the Asetek 240mm Advanced Liquid Cooling solution and the Cooler Master Storm Sniper chassis, for an efficient cooling level and consequently a higher level of performance.

According to CyberPower, its new Viper desktop series has combined one of the most popular processors among overclocking enthusiasts, the Core i7 920, with the ATI 4890, a gamers' favorite. This ensures that the end-user deals with the best-in class components and delivers on its performance promises. There's also a highly efficient cooling solution, ready to dissipate the heat that builds up over the high-end components.

As far as pricing and availability goes, the new system from CyberPower will be available with for an MSRP of US$1,295 and will be accompanied by a 3-year warranty and toll-free tech support. In addition, the PC vendor announced that the Viper series would also participate in the Windows 7 upgrade program, which is available for every Vista-running PC purchased from now until January 26.
