Apparently, the wait is too much to bear for certain parties, enough so that computer makers have decided to go ahead and announce, even ahead of the actual launch, that the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 will become an option on some of their high-end systems.

As end-users may or may not know, Advanced Micro Devices is not the only company releasing new video cards.

While its first Radeon HD 6000 cards have been released not too long ago, NVIDIA will soon release its own board.

Said board is known as the GeForce GTX 580 and is powered by the so-called GF110 graphics processing unit.

Of course, the actual launch of the product has not been made as of yet, but this did not stop CyberPower from already announcing support for it.

Henceforth, the Fang EVO and Gamer Xtreme series of gaming machines will be possible to outfit with either one or two such adapters.

Granted, since the formal release was not yet made by NVIDIA, CyberPower has, thus far, held off on updating its website.

For those interested in an reminder of what has, so far, been revealed by reports, the GTX 580 will be the Santa Clara, California-based GPU maker's most powerful card yet.

It will boast 512 CUDA cores, as well as 1,536 MB of GDDR5 memory, which have an interface of 384 bits to work with.

The GPU will operate at a frequency of 772 MHz, whereas the shaders and memory will be clocked at 1,544 MHz and 4,008 MHz, respectively.

Needless to say, it supports DirectX 11, CUDA, PhysX, 3D Vision and the rest of features that NVIDIA's cards are known to possess.

Those interested in either of the updated Fang EVO or Gamer Xtreme will have to wait until the card itself is made public, at which point they need only stop by CyberPower's website and place an order.
