CyberArk has unveiled Master Policy, a new policy engine designed to help organizations in setting, managing and monitoring privileged accounts. Master Policy has been integrated into CyberArk’s Privileged Identity Management and Privileged Session Management suites.

Master Policy enables companies to keep privileged accounts under watch from a single, simple interface.

The engine provides a simplified process for creating and managing policies, which can be set up in only minutes. It also allows companies to demonstrate they’re in compliance with PCI DSS, NIST, Sarbanes Oxley, NERC-CIP and other regulations.

Privileged accounts are often used as an attack vector by cybercriminals, so by using Master Policy organizations can actually improve their security posture.

Another key benefit of the new policy engine is that it meets business demands by quickly and accurately transforming written policies into security controls for privileged accounts.

In addition to Master Policy, version 8.0 of CyberArk’s product suites also contains the Universal Connector, which extends privileged session monitoring to networks, servers, databases, hypervisors, applications and other parts of the IT infrastructure.
