Android users who have chosen to root their devices and install the CyanogenMod custom software on them will soon be able to enjoy Superuser integrated in Settings, it seems.

The info comes from Koushik Dutta, one of the custom software’s developers, who has been working on a new, open source Superuser for some time now.

“The integrated one will use the Holo (dark) theme and Android standard stylings. Same code base,” he notes in a recent post on Google+.

As H-online notes, the Superuser tool will be integrated into settings in the next major release of CyanogenMod, and appears set to land on devices with full support for multiple users, while also being able to handle concurrent su requests properly.

Given the manner in which new features are integrated into CyanogeMod builds, it should not be too long before the new option appears, so stay tuned.
