Android enthusiasts certainly know what CyanogenMod ROMs can offer in terms of features when compared to the stock Android releases, and it seems that owners of Xperia smartphones will soon be able to get a taste of it as well.

The team behind the CyanogenMod project plans on adding support for a number of no less than ten Sony Ericsson Xperia phones in their next release.

Among the supported devices, we can count the Xperia arc, Xperia neo, Xperia mini, Xperia mini pro, Xperia PLAY, or the Xperia ray, all of which arrived on shelves this year.

Moreover, the team will also have the ROMs available for devices like Xperia X10, Xperia X8, Xperia X10 Mini, and Xperia X10 Mini Pro.

This is the result of a team work between CyanogenMod and the FreeXperia team (now part of CM), they unveiled.
