The CyanogenMod team has finally added support for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smartphone in its latest platform version, namely CyanogenMod 11.

Only nightly builds of the software are currently available for the device, though many users will certainly enjoy installing them on their devices.

CM 11, which is based on Android 4.4 KitKat, comes with support for the international LTE model (N9005), as well as for the Galaxy Note 3 flavors launched in the United States at Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon.

Of course, this is not an official Android 4.4 release for the handset, and it requires tempering the phone’s bootloader, but many will certainly be willing to give it a try. CyanogenMod 11 nightlies for the device can be found on the official CM website.

Samsung hasn’t provided specific info on when the official platform upgrade will be released to the handset, though it did kick off the rollout in Poland a few days ago.
