Owners of Android-based devices interested in getting an unofficial taste of the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system can now download CyanogenMod 10.2 Release Candidate 1 to do so.

The ROMs are already available for download through the official CM website, though only for a selected set of devices. More of them will be added to the list soon.

For many users, installing CyanogenMod’s new release will being Android 4.3 Jelly Bean to their devices before the official update arrives. For others, however, this represents the only manner in which they can get a taste of the newer platform version.

The Release Candidate should prove a good option to go with, since the builds are almost stable. The final version of CM10.2 should not be too far behind.

However, their installation still requires rooting devices and unlocking their bootloaders, which will void the warranty. Users will be installing the unofficial software at their own risk.
