More owners of Galaxy S and Galaxy S III devices can now get a taste of the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system on their devices, as nightly builds of CyanogenMod 10.1 are now available for them to download.

Based on the latest flavor of the Android platform, these builds represent custom ROMs compiled for these devices, and come without some features that official software releases pack inside, but add some other capabilities instead.

The team behind the popular mods for Android devices has managed to release these builds for Galaxy S devices, as well as for Galaxy S III models on shelves at AT&T and T-Mobile.

However, being only nightlies, these builds still feature a series of issues that might affect users’ experience with their devices, and they are advised to wait for more stable releases before giving them a try.
