A subsidiary of Nextnation Communication is currently working on ways to help mobile phone owners better personalize the content of their handsets with the help of a series of comic characters.

The project is called "Siew Wan, Siew Kat" and has been especially designed for the Chinese market. Divamas is the subsidiary which will engage its efforts for developing mobile content based on these comic characters.

The applications will include mobile comics, jokes, wallpapers, animated wallpapers and MSN icons. As their main purpose is to make a more friendly content for the user, such mobile content has high chances of appealing to a large audience, no matter what age and social status its users might have.

"Appealing to an incredibly broad audience, we expect that 'Siew Wan, Siew Kat' will have a proven track record both in popularity and responses and we are confident that we will be able to penetrate the Chinese mobile market successfully", said Eric, Vice President of Project Office at Divamas.

"Siew Wan, Siew Kat"'s story will be the inspiration for all the content which will be developed. This is based on the actions of two good friends who manage to complete each other through jokes and funny actions. Siew Wan is a pink hippo, rather self centered and also cute and attractive. Siew Kat is a funny cow which tries to humor Siew Wan with amusing questions, but usually fails in doing so.

All the mobile content that Divamas will develop will be available for people in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China soon enough. Moreover, they will bring even more ringtones and even mobile games in the fourth quarter of the year. The mobile content can be downloaded by using the handset's Internet connectivity and more information is available on the company's website.
