Those who are just a tad jealous of birds because they get to fly around as much and often as they like might become even more jealous after having one look at these adorable houses that some of them get to live in.

The birdhouses pictured above are designed and manufactured by folks working with Moger Mehrhof Architects in Philadelphia, US.

What's interesting is that, in an attempt to make the birdhouses as environmentally friendly as possible, their creators have chosen to use reclaimed materials alone.

Thus, the bird residences are made of hickory and oak logs that people working with the company find lying around, and from metal scraps provided by a local siding company.

“Found hickory and oak logs are quartered and left raw for hollowing, and metal scraps donated by a local siding company are bent and fixed to a log to create simple roof forms and gutters,” Inhabitat details the process of piecing them together.

I don't know about you, but if I were a bird, I would definitely love calling one such house my home.
