Cut the Rope has always been a very popular game, but the freeware license makes it the number one title for Windows 8 users who are looking to make the most of the new operating system’s touch support.

While Cut the Rope retained its leading spot in March, 4 Pics 1 Word experienced a terrific success, so it climbed on the second position in just a few weeks after launch.

Microsoft’s Solitaire Collection comes third, followed by Jetpack Joyride and Roman Empire, all of which have received a four-star rating from users.

As you can see, the games offering Xbox Live support are among the most attractive titles in the Store right now, while the touch support is also playing a decisive role when it comes to downloading a new game for Windows 8 or Windows RT.
