Do you hate writing the titles on your
home-made (or home-burned, as you prefer) CDs/DVDs, especially because the results are not quite satisfactory, due to various causes, as, for example, the quality of the markers or your own horrible and unreadable hand writing, perhaps? Well, seems that you're not the only one(s), since the people from Casio have managed to come up with a device that takes care of the aforementioned "daunting" task for you, namely the CW-L300 CD/DVD Title Printer.

This little device is a thermal printer capable of imprinting directly up to 16 lines of characters on the top side of any disc, at a resolution of 200 dpi. It also features 18 alphanumeric or four graphic preset character formats, five fonts, 14 languages, and 650 symbols built in. Moreover, the user can see quite clearly what he's typing in, via the 96 x 64 resolution LCD screen, and type in the titles via the QWERTY keyboard with 74 keys.

Here are some of the device's other important technical and commercial specifications:

- Dimensions: 21.5 cm x 25 cm x 9 cm;
- Weight: 1.5 kilos;
- Battery: 8 x AA (Optional);
- Powered via included AC adapter;
- Memory: 4000 characters;
- Phrase memory: 49 characters x 9;
- 650 built-in characters;
- 5 character styles: Normal/Outline/Shadow/Raised/Bold;
- 4 character effects: Normal/Shade/Underline/Box;
- 14 printable languages;
- Interface USB.

As you can plainly see, this is quite an interesting and very useful device, but, nevertheless, at 200 dollars (its recommended price), most people will probably prefer their own ugly handwriting.
