Custom Robo sees its first DS release in Custom Robo Arena, after five previous launches on other platforms. Custom Robo Arena is the first installment of the game to be released in the PAL territories, and the second in North America. The game follows the player as they join Robo Team “Numero Uno” and fight through the tournament in order to obtain the Robo Cup.
Apart from the GBA version of the title, it also follows the 3D combat model of the previous games. The Pokemon-styled combat system pits the player against their opponents and also makes use of the DS touchscreen. With it, the gamer will be able to perform maintenance on his Robo to prevent lowering its efficiency.
The title is also the first of the series to offer multiplayer matches for up to two players over the Nintendo Wi-Fi. It also provides voice chat and makes use of the rival's system seen in Metroid Prime: Hunters. The game was published by Nintendo Co., Ltd. and was developed by Noise. It was launched on October 19, 2006. It's an action, role-playing title played from a third-person perspective that received a PEGI rating of 7.
