14 DAY TRIAL // Today's drivers blogs highlight the work of Italian programmer Asder00, (already) well known throughout the community for his relentless endeavor of modding pretty much anything that comes from AMD.
This piece of news brings the modded and therefore – unofficial Catalyst display driver dubbed 12.3 RC. The new version adds support for a huge number of AMD-powered graphic cards; since the list is really long, please check it by clicking this link.
The Driver version upon which the 12.3 RC have been built is 8.950.0.0000, and bear the date 31st January. The 2Ddriver version is 8.01.01.1235, while the Direct 3D reaches release 7.14.10.0894. The OpenGL version is 6.14.10.11552, and finally, the Catalyst Control Center is 2012.0131.2220.39925.
Most of the feedback from the web community seems to favor the modded driver, especially since it now works with a lot of cards and not only the HD7 series. So, if you're into testing unofficial drivers and seeing for yourself whether they do the job for you, enjoy downloading the unofficial Catalyst 12.3 RC for Vista and Windows 7.
