The peaches hit the market in preparation for the country's Qixi Festival

Except for those who hate and despise fruit and vegetables (and who will probably have some pretty impressive medical bills to deal with because of this, some might want to add), pretty much everybody knows what peaches looks like.

To put it bluntly, pretty much all peaches look like behinds. Plump, glorious behinds that most people can only hope to one day be carrying around with them for the world to see, to be more precise.

More often than not, folks settle for noticing this simple truth, and then move on with their lives. Fruit vendors in China, however, have figured out a way to cash in on the funny and fairly appealing appearance of peaches.

Long story short, media reports say that, while the country is getting ready to celebrate this year's Qixi Festival, Chinese fruit vendors have gotten into the rather bizarre habit of dressing peaches in miniature undies and selling them as such.

A photo of peaches wearing underwear and looking all curvy and voluptuous is available next to this article. Fair warning: the photo might be showing no more and no less than fruit lying in a box, but you might want to refrain yourself from looking at it while at work nonetheless.

As one can easily notice by their choice of undies alone, not all peaches are the same. On the contrary, there are some that are bold enough to put on black, see-through lingerie. Others prefer to play it safe, and strut around in white or light blue underwear.

In case anyone was wondering, fruit vendors are selling such peaches in preparation for the upcoming Qixi Festival, which will debut on August 2, due to the fact that this event is kind of like a Chinese Valentine's Day. Simply put, people in this country are feeling incredibly romantic these days.

According to Kotaku, a box of peaches dressed in seductive lingerie sells for about $80 (approximately €60). Given this fairly impressive price tag, it's safe to assume that one must be feeling pretty darn romantic and eager to impress their loved one to buy one.

It looks like folks in China do not all have the same opinion about such boxes of peaches. Thus, some consider them to be positively vulgar, and say that they would never buy one or accept one from somebody courting them. Others simply love and adore them, and see nothing wrong with the idea of putting undies on fruit.
