The rover hasn't gone too far until now, but it's done plenty of science

The Mars Science Laboratory, i.e. the Curiosity rover, has been on Mars for nine months now. It hasn't traveled a lot in that time, not even close to the distance traveled by Opportunity at this point, but it's done plenty of stuff.

It surveyed several sites and even analyzed the content of two rock samples. Not to mention the thousands of photos it's been beaming back.

In fact, using some of the photos Curiosity sent back, all of them available from NASA for anyone to use, Karl Sanford put together a timelapse of the rover's journey so far.

The video shows several frames, captured by the left Hazcam, for each day. You can see all of the time the rover spent scooping up sand, driving around and, towards the end of the one-minute video, even the drilling.
