The hardest German sound possible

A whole world is chasing the "cool" label. Well, it was high time things changed as it seems like people are beginning to be running after "hard" instead of fancy and delicate things.

I guess we could call it at least an orientation if now even a proper trend as more and more gimmicks and household items turn to "artsy" specs and take shapes (and weights) we never imagined they were actually possible.

It's some "wacky" Germans who decided that "portable" (or is it movable?) sucks big time and they wanted something to last; and in my opinion, they have succeeded because their creation IS lasting, especially as we think about its weight - you won't be moving this home theater around in your home too much, believe me!

Yep, it's the first ever concrete home theater system, built from solid concrete and no other stuff. Can you be more accurate than saying "Now I've got rocks that rock"?

As you can very well see in the attached pictures, the Germans weren't kidding at all as they have built proper wooden casts in which they poured wet concrete and finally obtained the housings for the speakers. After having removed all the molds - both internal and external - the electronics have been placed in proper positions and a special logo has been carved on the side of the system's elements. Sealing and securing all the sound-related elements in place has almost finished this masterpiece of audio design - please don't ask me for technical data or how does the home theater system sound because there is no official data yet.

Ah, and yes, the entire work has been conceived, conducted and actually done without a precise set of tech specs: the artistic and engineer-y feeling of the makers were the only guidance; and since technicality wasn't playing that much of a role in this endeavor, the creators also decided to have the concrete blocks painted in nice bright colors so they fit well in almost every home.

Now imagine the fun of the situation, should some thieves try to "remove" the home theater system from a house and learn the true meanings of the noun "burden", ha-ha!

I am not quite sure if the stands of the actual subwoofer are the best thing since, as you can easily see. They are shaped like some sort of spikes and I daresay they'll surely pierce your floor, carpets and so on in a relatively short time. Nevertheless, having a solid concrete home cinema audio system in your lounge is a thing you don't see everyday; and if it also proves to sound good, who knows what we might see in stores next year?
