Even though not so much time passed since Cubitek first made its entrance in the desktop case market, the company keeps pushing one solution after the other out its doors and recently it has announced the new M4 series of midi-tower chassis that is targeting gamers.

Contrary to the last two series that the company launched, these new cases drop the aluminum construction of their predecessor and go with steel for their construction.

This enabled Cubitek to cut back on the construction costs of its enclosures and also limit the recommended price of the two solutions, as the regular M4 is priced at just 49.90 Euros while the silent version is available for 59,90 Euro.

The main difference between the two is the sound insulation material that Cubitek has added to the M4 Silencer, as otherwise these two chassis are identical.

Moving to the internals of the two Cubitek solutions, we will be greeted by a rather simple design that features an inverted PSU arrangement as well as four separate storage drive cages.

These can hold up to four 5.25-inch optical units, five 3.5-inch drives and a 2.5-inch storage solution, and two of the 3.5-inch bays are angled at 90 degrees in order to ease the installation and drive swap process.

Even with fully loaded drive cages, there still remains enough room in the M4-series cases for the installation of graphics cards up to 400mm in length, which means that AMD's dual-GPU Radeon HD 6990 should fit without any problems.

Cooling wise, the M4 series can take up to four 120mm fans (the regular M4 comes pre-installed with just one while the M4 Silent features two) and the cases are also fitted with two pre-drilled holes for installing an external water-cooling system.

Other features include a front panel cover that can be used as a storage compartment for optical disks, a micro-USB connector, and dual top-panel USB 2.0 ports. (via HardwareLuxx)
