After learning how to play Angry Birds, robots have now moved to another great pass time of us humans, solving the Rubik’s Cube, and the results are not less than impressive as the CubeStormer II has become the fastest Rubik’s Cube solver in existence, faster than us mere mortals.

The ARM-powered robot was specifically developed for this purpose and is made almost entirely out of LEGO bits and pieces, except for the Samsung Galaxy S2 smartphone that acts as its brain.

According to Uber Gizmo, the phone utilizes its camera to shoot images of each face of the Rubik’s Cube before it begins solving it and after an Android app analizes the cube by using a special two-phase algorithm, it gets down and dirty to get the job done in a matter of seconds.

A demo is available right above the text, but I have to warn you that after watching it you won't ever feel the same about your own Rubik's Cube solving skills.
