Dual-OS machines might be dead everywhere else in the world, but not in China

I've been telling you dual-OS devices don’t have a place in the real world anymore, since Microsoft and Google seem to have teamed up against such machines. But the real world doesn't seem to include China.

Now Chinese market watcher, Edward Weinert, Cube is expected to launch a few surprises of its own on the market. The product manufacturer is expected to launch in April some new devices, with the first one being an 8-inch tablet called the Cube iWork 8 which runs Windows 8.1.

The other one is called the Cube iPlay 8 and is still an 8-incher that probably runs Android and is powered by the Bay Trail platform (Teclast and Onda have already announced tablets like this).

Weinert also mentions the iWork 10T model which is, you guessed it, a dual-OS machine alternating between Android and Windows 8.

The tablet will come with a 10.1-inch IPS display with wide viewing angle and Intel quad-core processor pumping power from under the hood.

Cube promises 3 times higher performance and 5 times lower power consumption than previous Ultrabooks, although we’re not told whether the company is referring to its own products or the current standard on the market. Sadly, there’s no mention on when the iWork 10T will arrive in retail.
