The game offers a free-to-play online shooter experience

Trion Worlds and developer Crytek have announced that they are working together in order to launch the online free-to-play first-person shooter Warface in North America, Europe, Turkey, Australia and New Zealand.

Cevat Yerli, the chief executive officer and founder at Crytek, stated, “Trion is the company spearheading a revolution in gaming through delivering premium online games across big genres powered by a proven, cutting edge platform.”

Dr. Lars Buttler, also CEO and founder at Trion Worlds, added, “Crytek has repeatedly proven their foresight and they are doing that again by leading the shift towards delivering high-quality, free-to-play, online games.”

At the moment, Warface is live in Russia and more than 2 million players are engaged in the game.

Warface is created using the CruEngine 3 tech and allows the player to experience a vast online world which includes both Player versus Environment and Player versus Player battles.

Warface does not yet have a launch date for said territories.
