Cevat Yerli, the co-founder and the current chief executive officer at developer Crytek, believes that the next-gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft are designed to deliver a number of features that the PC space lacks in order to attract buyers.

Speaking to The Official Xbox Magazine, the executive states, “the consoles will have a valid reason to be a next generation console, absolutely, and people show by the sheer volume of economics that the technology is not everything that calculates the pictures on the screen.”

Yerli says that he cannot talk about the exact nature of the features that the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox 720 will have.

Rumors suggest that Microsoft will reveal its next device on May 21.

Official pricing and design for the PS4 will be shown during E3 2013.
