Iceland is a fascinating island that offers nature lovers the opportunity to discover beautiful, pristine landscapes in any season of the year, and the video embedded above, captured in March 2014, shows that the area is truly charming.

Brothers Patrick and Henrick Shyu, who make up Blue Eden and share their vision of the world in a series of HD clips, have created this impressive timelapse video after spending two weeks filming shadows of ice caves, the lights of the Aurora Borealis, waterfalls and, of course, a lot of icy landscapes.

The clip represents an amazing combination of gorgeous photography, stunning panoramas and breathtaking natural phenomena. You will certainly be mesmerized by the wide array of fresh, lively colors and the Northern lights reflected in the ice.

In the description of the YouTube video, the duo explains that although the weather was very cold during their journey, they enjoyed it a lot due to the magnificent, unspoiled landscapes.

It’s kind of obvious how much effort went into this project, but the result is definitely spectacular.

Moreover, for those who like romantic endings, the footage also includes an unexpected surprise. Watch until the end for an emotional moment that may not make the ice melt, but it will surely melt your heart.
