CrystalDiskInfo 5.6.0 has been released yesterday, with several improvements, support for new hardware and fresh options.

The application can now work with Micron/Crucial M500 drives and improves support for the SSD for the same line of products.

The developer added two command line options, /copy and /copyexit. Both of them copy the results to DiskInfo.txt file, but the second automatically exits the program.

Also new in this release is a workaround for the problem with non-working ATA_PASS_THROUGH environment.

Additional modifications available in CrystalDiskInfo 5.6.0 include a fix for the detection of the operating system name in the case of Windows 8 (Professional is now shown as Pro). Furthermore, there are new strings to language files and the Italian language received an update.

CrystalDiskInfo is designed as a simple solution that offers details about the storage device installed on the system. The application is available for download from this page. You can also get it as a portable program, from here.
