Crysis hasn't even been out for two months now and Crytek is already offering free maps. The first official map pack for one of the best looking FPSs out there today is available right HERE for instant download. Maps have been "tested over several weeks and

are optimized for competitive gamelay," according to Crytek. At just 187 MB in size, you should have no problem getting it in a matter of minutes. Don't have the full game yet? Get the demo!

"Of course we have prepared a little Christmas present for you as well. Within the past few months and weeks we haven't been working on patches, SDK and Linux Server only, also our Level Designers have been very active. Thus we are happy to announce you the release of the official 'Crysis Tournament Mappack'.

Some of you might know this map pack series from FarCry already where this was a community driven project. We would like to take the opportunity to turn this into an official map pack that is being developed and approved by Crytek. ).

This pack includes 5 brand new multiplayer maps for Crysis. All of them have been tested by Crytek's QA department and the professional Crysis teams [00] - Die Doppelnullen, GT - GlobalTeam.eSports and N! - Ninth Gaming.

Following maps are included:

Power Struggle
-Desolation
-Crossroads
-Training

Instant Action
-Excavation (Note: If you have installed an earlier version of it please remove it completely before installing this map pack!)
-Terminal"

Crytek also confirms that "both the two InstantAction and three PowerStruggle maps have been tested over several weeks and are optimized for competitive gamelay, but also provide a valid size for public gaming. Quite a few of the Trusted Server Providers of Crysis have already set up multiple servers that are running the map pack. Just check them out online and enjoy the new maps!"
