Intel wants to date you, Crysis fans! And no, they're not thinking (only) about hot sexy girls - they are actually searching for people who enjoy playing the latest Crytek game and who want to take part in the first ever Crysis mapping contest.

There are two Crysis universe-related contest categories - Single player Mode and Multiplayer Mode (Instant Action or Power Struggle maps). The multiplayer maps will be judged by a jury comprising representatives of Intel, Crytek, EA Games, 4 Mod Teams and 4 major gaming leagues, so it's crystal clear that only the best of the best may succeed. But it's worth giving it a shot, especially because of the prizes (we'll talk about them a bit later) and the fact that you can send your maps until the 18th of March.

The same judging process will be used for the single player maps but, having in mind that these take a longer time to develop, map makers will have some extra months to do it - until the 20th of May.

"We are offering players the chance to pit themselves against some of the best video game developers in the world. They can take over the Crysis universe, completely change the scenario, invent the best map to make their own game!" explains Jean-Pierre Navarro, Intel Strategic Relationship Manager, Consumer EMEA Gaming. "The winners of the Intel / Crysis Mapping Contest will be awarded of a range of prizes including the latest generation Processors, Laptops, Desktops, Gamers motherboards, Goodies..."

We're sure you're hardly waiting to know what these prizes are, so here is a little preview of what you should expect: Core 2 Extreme, Motherboards, Limited Crysis Desktop PC's or Notebooks and many more, including a special award of a flight to the Crytek office (for the best cutscene in single player or best InstatAction E-Sport level in multiplayer).
